I'll never forget the day I realized something had to change. April 19, 2019.

I went into the bathroom to change clothes — too embarrassed to change in front of my husband. I felt trapped in a body that didn't feel like mine anymore. Exhausted. Disconnected. Losing hope. Every day felt like a battle. I was tired, sluggish, constantly falling asleep on the couch in the afternoon.

I was fueling myself with processed carbs and convenience meals, convincing myself that my "healthy" dinners would somehow balance it all out. But the truth was, I felt powerless. I feared that any attempt to change would end in failure — just another disappointment to myself and my husband.

Then something inside me had had enough.

I signed up for a program, even though I thought I would probably fail. Or quit. But this was different — healthy whole food, short workouts, and eat a treat on Saturday. Intentionally.

Today, my life looks nothing like it did in 2019. I'm not perfect and I'm not striving to be — but I am confident. Confident in my body, my eating habits, and my healthy future. My marriage has changed too. My passion for health inspired my husband, and now we're on this journey together.

I became a coach because I know what it feels like to give everything you have to the people you love and have nothing left for yourself. The best thing you can do for your family is take care of you. Not in addition to your life — as part of it.

You Might Be Wondering…

The most common questions about Steady and Strong Foundations — and a few honest answers about what to expect.

Do I need any equipment or a gym membership?

No! All workouts can be done at home with minimal equipment. A set of workout bands or a set of dumbbells will get you started. Now if you end up buying more once you get addicted to getting stronger — well, that's not my fault. 😘

I've never really worked out before. Is this program right for me?

Absolutely! This program was designed for anyone at any level — and the beginning workouts will be instruction-heavy so that you learn how to workout with good form!

How much time do I need to commit each week?

The goal is for the habits we work on to become part of normal life — and normal life is busy. Plan on a few minutes every morning to read the daily educational post, 30 minutes to workout or walk, and 15 minutes to plan and track your food for the day. And not all at once — so it works around your schedule!

I have a vacation already planned. Should I wait until I'm home the whole 8 weeks?

Vacations are a part of life. Holidays, birthday parties, girls' night out, date night — your healthy lifestyle doesn't stop when life events happen! Learning how to enjoy all of life guilt-free in a healthy way is what makes this a lifestyle and not a program you are "on" or "off of."

My family has some picky eaters — do I have to fix different meals for myself?

No short order cooks around here! I'll teach you how to make one meal to please everyone — with easy minor changes. And how to take meals your family loves and make them healthier without (too many) complaints!

If I join the membership after Foundations and need to cancel or pause, how do I do that? And can I come back later?

Easy! Send me a message (in our app) or email me and let me know you need to cancel! And you are always welcome back into the Life group — your app data is even saved so you won't be starting over!
